    Every two weeks, we accompany the Roadmap update with a brief explanatory note to give you insight into the decision-making that led to any changes. This is part of an effort to make our communications more transparent, more specific, and more insightful for all of you who help to make Star Citizen and Squadron 42 possible.

    Just a reminder: The 1.0 column showcases features and content planned for inclusion in or before Star Citizen 1.0. This means you may not have to wait for the 1.0 release to experience them. As features/content in the 1.0 column become ready, they will migrate left into a point patch column for release.

    Notable Changes: August 13, 2025

    4.3.0

    All 4.3.0 cards have been set to Committed: Sniper Light Armor "Geist", Wikelo Light Combat Stealth Suit, ASD Light Combat Stealth Suit, New Hair styles, Dynamic Snow, Ladder Improvements, Onyx facilities, Wikelo special ships, VOLT Sniper.

    Kruger L-21 Wolf

    Implementing the Light Fighter Kruger L-21 Wolf, a classic built for the 30th century.

    • This card has been set to Committed.


    4.3.1

    NPC Dropships

    Introducing Dropships in Pyro, defending outposts and deploying reinforcements when the local population is attacked.

    • This card has been set to Tentative.

    Heavy Utility Armor

    Adding a new Heavy Utility Armor.

    • This card has been set to Tentative.

    Medium Utility Armor "Ambrose"

    • This card has been postponed to a later date.

    New Hairstyles (4.3.1)

    Adding two new hairstyles.

    • This card has been set to Tentative.

    VOLT LMG "Fresnel"

    Introducing VOLT's heavy-hitter, a machine-gun that ramps up the punishment as it heats up, trading rate of fire for raw stopping power. As it nears peak overheat, it unleashes searing energy blasts capable of tearing through hostile forces with terrifying efficiency. Featuring a hefty reload time but with a high capacity magazine.

    • This card has been set to Tentative.


    Progress Tracker

    We've made a few additions to the Progress Tracker, which you can review below. Just a reminder: when progress on a deliverable is marked as complete, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s ready for release. It may still require downstream support, transition to another team for further work, or other additional steps before completion.

    • Engineering
    • Crafting
    • FPS Radar & Scanning
    • REDACTED Creature
    • Inventory Rework
    • Item Expiry - Enabling functionality for items such as key cards to now have an expiry timer after which they are rendered non-functional.
    • Transport Refactor - Refactor of the existing Transit System to allow for easier design setup, easier integration into instanced content like hangars and more robust functionality in server meshed environments.
    • Command Module - Introducing the concept of vehicles taking over control from other host ships. Primarily used for spaceships like the Drake Caterpillar.
